HOW WE GOT STARTED
Mama Dude's is a farm-to-table restaurant and food truck in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, serving build-your-own bowls made from scratch with local, seasonal ingredients.
We started in August of 2016 when we bought our first food truck, opening with the intention of highlighting the products and artisans of central New Jersey. Chef Andrew Dudich founded Mama Dude's after graduating from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. While in New England he worked at restaurants like Clio in Boston and Castle Hill Inn in Newport, then came home to Mercer County to cook the food he grew up around.
In December 2020 we opened our first brick and mortar in the very town where the Mama Dude's dream started — Yardville, NJ, right in Dover Park Plaza. The truck still runs for catering and private events, and the restaurant is open six days a week for lunch and dinner.
What We Serve
Every bowl is built in four steps — pick a base, a protein, your toppings, and a sauce. Bases are jasmine rice, organic greens, or half and half. Proteins rotate with the season and always include vegan and vegetarian options alongside chicken and turkey. Toppings and house-made sauces change with whatever the farms are growing.
Most of the menu is gluten free, and a good portion of it is vegan — we mark every item on the board so you are not guessing. If you are looking for healthy lunch options, vegan food, or gluten free restaurants near Hamilton, Yardville, Trenton, or Robbinsville, this is a good place to start.
The menu changes every season. Nothing sits on the line for months, and nothing comes out of a bag. We make our own sauces, bake our own granola, and work with local farms and producers across Mercer County and central New Jersey.
Catering & The Food Truck
We cater private events, corporate lunches, weddings, block parties, and festivals across New Jersey. You can book the food truck to park at your event and serve fresh bowls on site, order bowls in bulk for a team or office, or have us bring the trays and serve your guests ourselves.
